About me:
Everyone calls me Nat for short (he/him), and I'm told that I'm calm, friendly, and open.
I have a good deal of life experience, including some amazing highs and some brutal lows. The more I learn, the more I realise how little we actually know, and that life has more shades of grey than firm absolutes. I therefore believe that practicing humility and openness is the beginning of finding wisdom and peace.
Training & Experience:
- MSc Counselling & Psychotherapy - Keele University
- Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling - Keele University
- BA Business Management - Manchester Metropolitan University
I've also completed additional training, and have significant experience in the following areas:
- Trauma Informed Counselling
- Relationship Counselling
- Abuse & Complex-PTSD
- Neuro-affirming Counselling
I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office, which means that I comply with current UK GDPR regulations, have full insurance cover for counselling and psychotherapy, and hold a current clear DBS Check.
I am also registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), one of the UK's professional standards bodies. This means that my qualifications have been officially verified, and that I meet their ethical standards for safe, professional counselling practice. You can also visit their website to check if a therapist is legitimate, or raise concerns if you've experienced unethical behaviour (www.bacp.co.uk).
Recognising how important trust and integrity are in counselling, I'm also proud to be part of a small group of counsellors who support each other with best practice, ongoing training, and professional accountability. We are also happy to refer you between us if your needs change, or you feel that another counsellor might be a better fit. If you'd like to know more, please visit our site:
